Product Description
This is a JTAG cable made for bringing your satellite receivers back to life. Use this JTAG cable to fix green light syndrome (GLS) at home.
This is the 2nd generation of the JTAG cable manufactured by TIAO Corp. TIAO has a long history of making JTAG cables. They make the world's best JTAG cables.
The first generation JTAG cables have resistors directly soldered on the wires (year 2004/2005). The 2nd generation of JTAG cables (starting from year 2007) use Printed Circuit Board inside DB25 shell. All SMD resistors are soldered on a small PCB. It is proved to be much more reliable than the first generation of JTAG cables.
TIAO is the only manufacture uses PCB for JTAG cables. Other vendors or homemade JTAG cables still use 1st generation technology, soldering resistors on wires directly.
TIAO's JTAG cable also comes with solderless adapter, which means you can fix your satellite receivers without soldering anything. TIAO is the only manufacture makes solderless JTAG cables.
This is the only cable you will ever need to repair your satellite receiver. This cable will correct any problems you are having with your receiver quickly.
This is version 3 of the design with a new PCB layout. TIAO eliminated the 10 pin cable and header because most devices use 20 pin (FTA) or 6 pin header (non FTA). By removing the 10 pin header, it gives us more space so the connections are more reliable!
The other end of the cable have 6 pogo pins and 20 hole female IDC sockets, thus we are bundling a 80 pin (2 by 40) male header for free! Also, we are bundling a 6 hole pogo pin holder for hands free operation on NON FTA receivers.
It also comes with solderless adapter, no need to solder pin headers onto the pcb anymore! Program your device is as easy as 1-2-3!
Highlights:
* 74HCT244, an "Inverting Octal TRI-STATE(RM) Buffer", it makes the data transfer more reliable.
* A LDO voltage regulator, converts the 5V DC input to 3.3V DC. this allows the cable to work on some electronic devices which requires 3.3V inputs.
* The other end of the cable has 6 pogo pins plus a alligator clip, the alligator clip and one of the pogo pins are connected to the ground. So total 2 ground pins.
* If you label the alligator clip as pin 1, the pogo pin next to the alligator clip as pin 2, and so on, so here are the labels:
