Step 1: Locate the parallel port on your computer.

Step 2: Plug the DB25 connector to the parallel port.
|
|
Step 3: Locate the JP1 connector on your universal remote control.
|
|
Step 4: Plug the JP1 header to the JP1 connector on the remote control.
|
|
Step 5: Locate the ir.exe program on your CD or downloaded and unzipped directory. Execute ir.exe program.
|
|
Step 6: This is the main window of IR program.
|
|
Step 7: Select "Interface" menu and "Parallel" sub-menu.
|
|
Step 8: A dialog pops up. You can specify the address of your parallel port.
Normally, you should select 378 for desktop computers, and 3BC for laptop computers.
If non of these ports are working, check your computer's manual.

Step 9: Select "Interface" menu and "Check Interface..." sub-menu.
|
|
Step 10: Make sure all connectors are connected correctly. Click Yes.
|
|
Step 11: Interface check is successful.
